Yamang and Wadia's story is like the movie Hum Saath Saath Hai. Every little detail is filled with lots of love and happiness. Yamang proves that distance isn’t a thing when it comes to love. Read on...
I started the conversation by asking Yamang, if you had a chance to relive any specific day again which will it be, And why? He, with full of enthusiasm, says, “On my parents' anniversary, her family had come to my house to surprise my parents at midnight. They traveled 350 kilometers just for this, which was unexpected.
We all have become like a family and we feel good in sharing our happiness. Marriage is not just about two people. It’s about two families getting together and I will forever be grateful to our parents to have taken that extra step to make it a beautiful journey for me and my wife.”
Wadia recalls another incident similar to this, “On my mother’s birthday, Yamang’s parents came home at midnight to celebreate. I was least expecting Yamang because he worked in Bangalore. But the least expected wish came true.Yamang had come . all the way from Bangalore to Rajkot to celebrate my mother’s birthday. He just won my heart there.” Aww! This is so cute!
Before getting into any further details, I wanted to know how it all started and so I ask Yamang, what were you looking in your life partner? He says, “I don’t want to make it sound filmy. I wanted someone who will understand me and my family.” I then ask Wadia, what made you think he is the one? She says, “I wanted someone who is well educated, loyal and someone who would support my career.”
I then move on to asked Wadia about her first meeting and with full of excitement, she says, “We met at a cafe and spoke for an hour. Our interests were similar. We both liked traveling and our love for ice creams made us connect. He was very honest and straightforward. His views and passion for his career impressed me a lot. And somewhere I was very sure about him in our first meet. He was so sweet. He had even bought a gift for me - a beautiful earring.” How cute! “The next day, I sent her a bouquet of roses, teddy, chocolates and a card along with a ring which was a proposal for marriage. I waited for 6 days but didn’t get any response from her and on the 7th day in the evening I got a call from her and she said ‘I am ready to be Mrs.Wadia Yamang Patel’. Listening to that completely excited I loudly said ‘I love you Wadia’ when I was in my office.”
How important is marriage in your life? Yamang says, “Marriage is a very important part of a person’s life. You need someone to share your entire life with and Wadia has brought about some good changes in my life. She always appreciates and encourages me. Being a Doctor, she handles her professional and personal life so well.” Wadia, on the other hand, says, “Yamang is the kind of man every girl dreams of. He supports me and helps me with everything. Even without telling him anything, he understands me.” That’s cute! As they both love travelling, I ask Yamang, what is the craziest thing you have done for her? He says, “I am very afraid of water and she always wanted to go scuba diving. On our honeymoon, I had planned to do it. I asked her to go ahead and she forced me to join but I said no. I had planned for a surprise and once she went inside the water, I went in and the moment she saw me she was shocked. I wanted to do something romantic and make it memorable. So I proposed to her under water and that is the craziest thing I have done.” Romantic isn’t it?
